NORTH MANCHESTER - James W. Hoge, 59, of Silver Lake, died at 12:55 p.m. Sept. 21, 2010, in Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.
He was born Aug. 28, 1951, in Rochester, to Harold L. and Katherine Bryant Hoge. On Dec. 13, 1970, he married Judy A. Clemans, who survives.
He worked at Warsaw Foundry, Warsaw, for 18 years. He was a member of Center United Methodist Church, Silver Lake. He loved people and doing for others.
Surviving are three daughters, Wendy (and spouse Tim) Hines, Shawn Remfrey and Knevits (and spouse Adam) Stephens, all of Warsaw; three brothers: Jack (and spouse Sue) Hoge, Rochester; Jerry (and spouse Sharon) Hoge, Omaha, Neb.; and Jay (and spouse Kathy) Hoge, Peru; two sisters, Judy Calvert, Talma, and Mary Jane (and spouse Scott) Holmes, Warsaw; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Rolland Calvert and a nephew, Nick Patterson, a local U.S. Marine who died in Iraq in 2007.
A graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, at Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake, with Pastor Terry Marker officiating. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Silver Lake Lions Building.
No calling is planned.
