James Robert Hendrickson Sr., 75, of Claypool, has gone to be with a friend at 8:50 p.m. June 30, 2009, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

He was born April 3, 1934, in Bell County, Ky., to Noah Franklin Sr. and Pearlie Hampton Hendrickson. He married Wilma Jean Jones, who preceded him in death. On July 1, 1957, in Columbia City, he married Clara June Jones, who survives.

Living most of his life in Kosciusko County, he was a salesman for the Pepsi Cola Co. for 38 years. He was a member of Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, Warsaw. He loved God, family, hunting and fishing.

Also surviving are two daughters, Carolyn Sue (and spouse Rex Sr.) Wert, Milford, and Robin Estelle (and spouse Tommy) Croy, Murfreesboro, Tenn.; four sons, James Robert Jr. (and spouse Cathy) Hendrickson and Franklin J. (and spouse Elaine) Hendrickson, all of Fort Wayne, and Richard Ray Sr. (and spouse Angie) Hendrickson and Jesse James (and spouse Lori) Hendrickson, all of Claypool; two sisters, Mary Evelyn Drabenstott, Warsaw, and Christina Hoskins, Claypool; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Ruth Bowman and Pauline Hendrickson; three brothers, Noah Franklin Jr., Wendell Dean and Billy Ray Hendrickson; and a granddaughter, Amber Nicole Hendrickson.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, Warsaw, with the Rev. Glen Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Claypool.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.

McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
