James R. 'JJ' Jackson

COLUMBIA CITY – James R. “JJ” Jackson, 55, Lena, Miss., passed away May 7, 2014.
He was born May 14, 1958, in Columbia City, to James R. Jackson Sr. and Sandra S. Wuertley Harter.
He attended Whitko High School. Not liking to live in one area for a long time, he would travel around and he lived in Indiana, Colorado, Arizona and most recently in Mississippi since 2006. He had been working on a farm in Lena. He was a very independent person, enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, riding his motorcycle and watching the Steelers play.
Surviving are two daughters, Jazmen Jackson, Claypool, and Harley June Jackson; three stepchildren: Josh and Shayne Keel and Kristal Sims; three brothers: Bazil Jackson, Albion; Scott Hollon and Rick Jackson, both of Arizona; three sisters: Debra Jackson, Kansas; Kimberly Thompson and Lorie Schroeder, both of Arizona; and numerous grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.
