James O. "Ted" Hall, 75, of 111 Eel River Manor, South Whitley, died at 11:55 a.m. Sept. 19, 2008 at Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City.
He was born Aug. 15, 1933, in Water Gap, Ky., to William and Pearlie Prater Hall. On March 26, 1953, he married Patricia Coble, who preceded him in death.
He was an asphalt mixer for 10 years. He was a member of the Packerton Community Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing poker.
Surviving are four daughters, Kathy Surface, South Whitley; Carol (and spouse Ray) Trump, Claypool; Patricia Croussore, Columbia City and Connie (and spouse Mark) Puckett, Claypool; one son, James "Buddy" Hall Jr., Warsaw; 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Frank Hall, Warsaw; Floyd Hall, Fort Wayne; two sisters, Mary Kendrick, Warsaw; Naoma Wagner, Sidney. He was preceded in death by a daughter, two grandsons, two brothers and a sister.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Glenn Hall officiating. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Claypool.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
