James Milton 'Jim' Wolf

James Milton “Jim” Wolf, 90, went to be with the Lord at 4:05 p.m. Feb. 6, 2016, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
He was born Nov. 30, 1925, in Atwood, to Merl J. and Elizabeth Lorena Egolf Wolf. On Feb. 11, 1950, in Waterford, he married Joyce L. Miller, who survives in Atwood. They were married for 65 years.
He is a 1944 graduate of Atwood High School.
He served during World War II. He entered active service duty with the United States Navy Jan. 29, 1944, in Indianapolis. AO2 James Milton Wolf was honorably discharged June 7, 1946, from Great Lakes, Ill.
He is a lifetime Atwood resident.
He loved being a farmer of grain and livestock and was self-employed at Wolf Stock and Grain and Wolf Family Farms his entire life. He was also employed by Explorer Van Co., Warsaw, for over 12 years.
He was a lifetime member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Atwood, where he loved and served his church family and his Lord Jesus; enjoyed vegetable gardening and freely shared its abundance with family and friends; belonged to the Atwood Lions Club; sat on the board of the Atwood Community Building; and in his earlier years was a volunteer with the Atwood Fireman Department. He was a member of American Legion Post 49. Above all, he loved his Lord and his family.
Also surviving are a son, Joe Wolf, Atwood; two daughters, Ann (and spouse Steve) Collins, Tyrone, Ga., and Pam Slabaugh, Warsaw; seven grandchildren: Jennifer (and spouse Kevin) Ecenbarger, Bremen; James Robert Wolf and Jody (and spouse Randy) Roberts, all of Atwood; Andrew Collins, Atlanta, Ga.; Brittany (and spouse William) Parker, Newnan, Ga.; Brooklynne Slabaugh, Charleston, Ill.; and Spencer Slabaugh, Bloomington; five great-grandchildren, Jama (and spouse Chris) Kolanoski, Jared Wolf, Brody Ecenbarger, Cole and Chloe Roberts; and two sisters, Juanita Frederick, Atwood, and Anna Mary Harlan, Cincinnati, Ohio.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Otterbein United Methodist Church, Atwood, with Pastor Jim Lawson, Otterbein United Methodist Church and friend, Pastor Jim McKibbon, officiating. Military graveside honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 49 and VFW Post 1126. Burial will be in Stony Point Cemetery, Atwood.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, and one hour prior to the service in the church.
