NORTH MANCHESTER — James Leon Frieden, 92, Silver Lake, died at 1:50 p.m. March 1, 2018, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born Sept. 18, 1925, in Wabash County, to Henry W. and Anna Pearl Reed Frieden. He married Margaret Shenefield on Dec. 15, 1946. She survives.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from Dec. 23, 1943, to May 23, 1946.
A memorial service is planned for noon Saturday at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 113 W. Main St., North Manchester. Burial will be at a later date.
Calling is from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the church.
