NAPPANEE - James "Jim" Martin, 81, of 37 Meadows, Nappanee, died at 5:51 p.m. Feb. 22, 2008, in Bremen Community Hospital, after declining health.
He was born Sept. 8, 1926, in Indiana Arbor, to John and Margaret Devine Martin. His wife Madeline Martin, died Jan. 23, 1998.
Living in Nappanee for 12 years, he was a mason, a World War II Air Borne veteran and a member of St. Dominic's Catholic Church, Bremen.
Surviving are three sons; Jerry, Ed and Mark Martin; two daughters, Carol Simic and Joanne Lewis; 13 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son.
No services are planned. There will be cremation.
