James 'Jim' C. Craft

AKRON – James “Jim” C. Craft, 59, Rochester, passed away Aug. 1, 2015, after a motorcycle accident involving a deer on CR 100W, Macy.
He was born Sept. 19, 1955, in Rochester, to James C. and Carol Holloway Craft.
He worked for Paragon Medical, Pierceton, and also previously worked for Topp Industries, Rochester. He was a 1974 graduate of Mentone High. He attended Ivy Tech, Warsaw, for machinist certifications.
His passion was riding his 2008 Yamaha Road Star motorcycle. He enjoyed riding motorcycles with his brothers throughout their lives.
Surviving are: his mother, Carol Feltis, Rochester; two daughters, Christina (and spouse Kevin) McVay, Rochester; and Celia (and spouse David) Johnson, Pensacola, Fla.; six grandchildren, two brothers, Daniel (and spouse Debra) Craft, Akron,  and Chuck (and souse Jan) Craft, Huntertown; five nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his father, James Craft and his stepfather, Donald Feltis.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron, with Lay Leader Michael Walters officiating. Burial is in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Rochester.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
