James J. Hileman

James J. Hileman, 73, of 3762 W. Old 30, Lot 13 E, Warsaw, died at 7:42 p.m. Aug. 7, 2007, in Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne.

He was born Dec. 6, 1933, in Wabash, to Ira and Bealah Palmer Hileman. On Sept. 24, 1954, in Wabash, he married Barbara Jane Mayfield, who died March 31, 2000.

Living in Warsaw since 1968, he worked at Hileman Heating and Cooling, Wabash, and purchased Comfortemp Inc., Warsaw, in 1977, where he was president. He attended Warsaw Wesleyan Church. He loved his two dogs, Jeannie and Rudy, and his cat Cuddles. He served as a sergeant in the Indiana National Guard for eight years.

Surviving are two sons, James Douglas (and wife Gloria) Hileman, Milford, and Kevin J. Hileman, Warsaw; a sister, Norma Hileman, North Manchester; three grandsons, Jeremiah Juarez, Milford; Keith Robbins, Leesburg; and Jaime Oviedo, Nappanee; and three great-grandchildren, Xavier, Alexi and Kainan Oviedo, all of Nappanee.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Jerry Yoder officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
