ROCHESTER – James Harvey Funk, 81, of Rochester, died at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 6, 2011, in Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester, shortly after admission to the emergency room.

His wife, Nancy Funk, preceded him in death.

Surviving are his daughter, Annemarie (and spouse Mark) Waychoff, Waynesburg, Pa.; five stepchildren:   Glendon (and spouse Jeff) Wilson and Robert and Brandon Smith, all of Rochester; Holly (and spouse George) Menifee, of Nappanee; Scott (and spouse Leah) Smith, Evansville; six sisters: Isabelle (and spouse Wayne) Kamp, Akron; Martha J. (and spouse Bill) Schultz and Matilda Rose (and spouse Randy) Habeggar, all of Marble Falls, Texas; Elena Swihart, Silver Lake; Helen “Susie” (and spouse Rafael) Quintanilla, Wabash; and Judith Ann (and spouse Greg) Armstrong, Converse; two brothers, Robert E. “Bob” (and spouse Jane) Funk, Van Buren, and Hugh (and spouse Rita) Funk, Rochester. He also was preceded in death by a brother and a son.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester. Burial will be in Kewana Citizens Cemetery with a military honors service by members of Manitou Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and the Leroy Shelton American Legion Post.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the services Wednesday at the funeral home.
