ROCHESTER – James Garland Rudd, 84, Rochester, died at 12:51 a.m. June 18, 2014, at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester. He was born April 29, 1930, in Morgan, Ky., to Charles L. Sr. and Ethel M. Hurt Rudd, who preceded him in death. On May 8, 1949, in Rochester, he married Thelma Jean Howard, who survives in Rochester. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester, with Pastor Mike VanHeyningen officiating. Burial will be in Athens Cemetery.
