PIERCETON – James G. Outcelt, 89, Pierceton, passed away at 9:10 p.m. Nov. 6, 2012, in his residence. He was born Sept. 14, 1923, in Kosciusko County, to Jacob A. and Mary B. VanCuren Outcelt. On April 24, 1943, in Bourbon, he married Illa Wilson, who died Sept. 4, 1986. A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, he was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, Pierceton, from 1973-89, and was self-employed as a farmer. His memberships include Morris Chapel United Methodist Church; Moose and Eagles lodges, both of Warsaw; North Webster American Legion Post 253; and a past board member for the Farm Bureau Co-Op, Warsaw. Surviving are a son, Jay (and spouse Carol) Outcelt, Warsaw; a daughter, Elaine Warren, Leesburg; a sister, Margaret (and spouse Bob) Goff, Florida; grandchildren, Dallas Keserovic, Jacob (and spouse Micki) Outcelt and James (and spouse Sherry) Koser; and several great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton, with Pastor Holly White officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
