ROCHESTER – James E. Mooney, 78, Rochester, was surrounded by his loving family when he died at 4:39 p.m.Thursday, June 21, 2018, at his home.
He was born April 18, 1940, in London, Ky., to John and Edna Cheek Mooney.
As a teenager, he moved to Rochester with his mother. In 1960, he graduated from Rochester High School.
On May 13, 1972, in Rochester, Jim and Nancy Huntley were married. She survives.
A celebration of the life of James E."Jim" Mooney will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2018, in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester. Pastor Brian Sewell will officiate.
Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 7 p.m. today and one hour prior to the service Tuesday in the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
