James E. Ebersole, 69, of Greenwood, and formerly of Warsaw, and New Town, N.D., passed away July 7, 2012, in his residence.
He was born Oct. 14, 1942, in Woodbury, Pa., to George Moses and Mary Kathryn Beach Ebersole. In March 1963, in Warsaw, he married Mary Rose Dunkleberger, who died Jan. 8, 1997.
He served as a supervisor for 30 years with the New Town water department and formerly served with the City of Warsaw in the same capacity.
Surviving are a daughter, Cynthia (and spouse Chad) Shaffner, Greenwood; a son, Jim (and spouse Debb) Ebersole, Indianapolis; a nephew, Lee Dunkleberger, Greenwood; two brothers, John Ebersole, Warsaw, and Paul Ebersole, New Enterprise, Pa.; three sisters: Glea Foor, Clarion, Pa.; Gail Svendsen, Carmel; and Joyce McConnell, Warsaw; grandchildren: Kathryn Marie and Christopher Shaffner, both of Greenwood; John Lehman, Fort Wayne; Shaun Lehman, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and Danielle Lehman and Shannon Hawthorn, both of Indianapolis; and great-grandchildren Johnathon Clash and Lillian and Elizabeth Hawthorn, all of Indianapolis. He also was preceded in death by a brother.
A graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with Chaplain Bob Jarboe officiating.
