PIERCETON - Jacob Michael Mckee, 30, of 207 E. Chicago St., Columbia City, died at 2:45 p.m. Dec. 21, 2009, in Whitley County.
He was born Jan. 14, 1979, in Goshen, to Jay Michael and Laura Stickler McKee.
He was an East Noble High School graduate and was a machinist. He enjoyed writing, music and sports.
Surviving are a son, Dawson Haven Kreischer, Fort Wayne; his mother, Laura McKee, Kendallville; his father, Jay Michael McKee, Florida; four sisters: Michelle (and spouse Joe) McManama, Warsaw; Megan McKee, Fort Wayne; Sandra McKee, Marina, Calif.; and Victoria McKee, Kendallville; a brother, Jerod (and spouse Amy) McKee, Avilla; an aunt, Leta Perry, Columbia City; two cousins, David Perry and Emily Case, both of Columbia City; and a companion, Dawn Warrick, Columbia City. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Roy and Betty Gramling, Florida.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church, 110 W. Waits Road, Kendallville. Burial will be at a later date.
McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton, is in charge of arrangements.
