Jackson To Play Basketball At IUSB

Posted
Warsaw Community High School senior Rashaan Jackson has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Indiana University–South Bend.
Jackson was a key force in the Tigers’ 18-5 season that saw coach Doug Ogle’s Northern Lakes Conference championship squad pick up impressive wins against some of the state’s top teams.
A four-year letterman, Jackson was one of the team leaders in field-goal percentage, shooting 48.2 percent from the floor and he was the Tigers’ second-leading scorer with a 9.39 average. He also pulled down 74 rebounds.
Jackson earned a 10.55 grade-point average on a 12-point scale. He was the named the Hamilton Heights Tournament MVP as a junior.  Jackson is also a member of the Tiger Track & Field program, and in 2014 was a sectional and conference champion in the long jump. An Academic All-State Honorable Mention pick, this year Jackson has continued his success in the long-jump by capturing the Goshen Relays title and he looks to lead the Tigers into the post-season again this spring.
He has also served his community while assisting the Animal Shelter, Feed My Starving Children, the WCHS Blitz, the Chinese Club, and the Octagon Club.
