Jack R. Harris, 75, of Wabash, passed away at 7:30 p.m. March 5, 2013, in Wabash County Hospital. He was born Oct. 13, 1937, in Elwood, to Cecil and Grace Schenkel Harris. On Nov. 14, 1961, he married Delores Gries, who survives. He attended North Wesleyan Church, Wabash. Also surviving are two sons, Jack C. (and spouse Thania) Harris, Warsaw, and Cecil Harris, Wabash; two daughters, Malinda (and spouse Chris) Mattern, Wabash, and Angela Oaks, Valparaiso; seven grandchildren: Mindy, Melvin and Mandy Norris; Marcus and Michael Harris; Christin Enyeart; and Brittany Oaks; and tree great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Harris; a brother; two sisters; and a daughter-in-law, Jessica Harris. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Ave., Wabash, with Pastor Joseph Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash.
