Jack Lyal YoungbloodELKHART – Jack Lyal Youngblood, 89, of Leesburg, passed away Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020, at his residence.

He was born May 5, 1930, in Elkhart, to Lyal and Ruth Anna Earnhart Youngblood.

On May 12, 1950, in Elkhart, he married Jean Doering. She preceded him in death on Oct. 23, 2015.

Jack was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Elkhart. He worked as an engineer for L & J Press and was the owner of Paragon Photography.

Surviving are three children: Karen McCall, of Goldsboro, N.C.; Steven (Susanne) Youngblood, of Elkhart; and David (Kim) Youngblood, of Greenfield; seven grandchildren: Anna (Paul) Evans, of Lawrenceville, Ga.; Matthew (Jennifer) McCall, of Indianapolis; Joshua (Dawn) McCall, of Augusta, Ga.; Carrie (Lance) Sutton, of Four Oaks, N.C.; Sarah (Ernest) Fulford, of Monticello, Fla.; Andrew (Beth) Youngblood, of Knoxville, Tenn.; and Samantha Youngblood, of Greenfield. Additional survivors include 10 great-grandchildren: Hannah Evans, Alexis McCall, Matthew Thomas McCall, Titus McCall, Layla McCall, Olivia Sutton, Naomi Sutton, Megan and Noah Fulford and Micaela Dietz.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, June Miller.

Cremation will take place and a celebration of life gathering will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31 at his home, 316 EMS B 38 Lane, Leesburg.

Waterman-Westbrook-Clouse Funeral Home, Elkhart, is entrusted with his care.
