Jack Junior Bilz, 89, of Dallas, Texas, died at 11:30 a.m. April 3, 2009, in Dallas, Texas.
He was born Jan. 9, 1920, in Warsaw, to John H. and Athol Mea Brown Bilz. His wife, Carol, survives.
After a career as a pilot, he retired and became an active volunteer with Meals on Wheels for 20 years, a volunteer with the Methodist Hospital of Dallas Auxiliary and a member of Oak Cliff Lions Club. He was a member of Tyler Street Methodist Church since 1965. As a 1st Lieutenant in World War II, he was stationed in England as a B-24 pilot in the U.S. Air Force.
Also surviving are two daughters, Connie Jordan and Cindy Felts; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with military honors by members of American Legion Post 49 and Veterans of Foreign Wars 1126.
