Jack D. Kizer, 87, of Warsaw, passed away at 4:25 p.m. Jan.16, 2013, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. He was born Aug. 3, 1925, in Mishawaka, to Earl and Charlotte Buchwold Kizer. On Nov. 25, 1950, in South Bend, he married Joan Dibble, who survives. He was a 1943 graduate of Mishawaka High School. He retired from South Bend Lathe after 30 years, where he was a vice president of purchasing. He was a member of the Mishawaka Elks and Morris Park Country Club. He moved from South Bend to Warsaw in 2010 to be close with his beloved family. Also surviving are a daughter, Jill (and spouse Steve) Beehler, Warsaw; a son, James D. (and spouse Candace) Kizer, Warsaw; grandchildren, Katie (and spouse Maximilian) Maile, Warsaw; Kiel Beehler, North Carolina; Alan Kizer, Pierceton; and Sabrina Kizer, Indianapolis; a great-grandchild, Benjamin Ryan Maile; and three brothers, Dick, Norman and Lanny Kizer, all of Mishawaka. He is preceded in death by five sisters, Margaret Schalliol, Maxine Bendit, Betty Morris, Joan Klug and Nancy Kizer; and two brothers, Captain Robert Kizer and James E. Kizer. Services will be private.
