Jack D. Hurt, 63, Warsaw, passed away at 11:12 p.m. Feb. 4, 2014, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born June 10, 1950, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Hershel and Mary Bell Blevin Hurt. He lived most of his life in Kosciusko County. He worked for Superior Wood Products, Warsaw, for 25 years as a finisher. He started Hurt Music Productions and was involved in publishing music. He enjoyed fishing, rebuilding computers, taking of photographs and family history. He loved his grandchildren, his dog Isabelle and Christmas time with the family. During the summer, he was always enjoying time in his great garden. Surviving are his daughter, Kristi (and spouse Bud) Ault, Warsaw; three sons: Jackie “DJ” (and companion Tina Miller) Hurt Jr., North Webster; Shane (and spouse Raeann) Hurt and Kyle Robertson, both of Pierceton; a fiance, Janet Best, Warsaw; seven grandchildren: Derek, Daken and Dawson: Taylor and Jacob; Jaedann and Daityn; two brothers, Robert (and spouse Rhonda) Hurt, Rochester, and Junior (and spouse Sue) Hurt, Atwood; and two sisters, Sue (and spouse John) Caldwell, LaGrange, and Shirley (and spouse Randy) Johnson, Warsaw. He was preceded in death by his mother, father and a sister, Angie Weirick. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Gale Janofski officiating.
