SYRACUSE - Jack Apple, 73, of Syracuse, died at 11:18 p.m. April 27, 2010, in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born Dec. 3, 1936, in New Castle. He married Phyllis Rager, who survives.
He worked for the Michigan City School System for 29 years, retiring as the area vocational director in 1991.
Also surviving are two sons, Jerry (and spouse Maureen) Apple and Larry (and spouse Sue) Apple; two grandchildren; and a brother, Richard Apple.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse.
Calling is an hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
