SOUTH BEND - The IUSB Theatre Company at the Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts at IU South Bend will hold auditions for its spring productions at 7 p.m. Jan. 12-13 in the Campus Auditorium of Northside Hall.
Auditions are open to the public.
The spring schedule includes "Alice in Wonderland", the annual children's production. The play is written by former faculty member Warren Pepperdine and is based on the novel by Lewis Carol. Associate Professor of Theatre Randy Colburn will direct "Alice in Wonderland", which opens Feb. 11 and runs through Feb. 19.
The Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts will then produce the well-known musical "West Side Story". "West Side Story" is based on a conception of Jerome Robbins, book by Arthur Laurents, music by Leonard Bernstein and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. "West Side Story" will open April 22 and run through April 24. Director of Theatre at Fayetteville State University Pheobe Hall will serve as guest director.
Two contrasting monologues of no more than two minutes each are encouraged. Cold readings from the scripts required. All should bring comfortable clothes for movement.
