'It's A Wonderful Life' At Triton

BOURBON – As the Christmas holiday approaches, television stations across the world will be broadcasting “It’s a Wonderful Life”.
Instead of waiting for it to air, however, Triton Junior-Senior High School’s drama department is providing a live version of the classic with its production of the play.
The play tells the saga of George Bailey (Jannik Mathiesen), the everyman from the small town of Bedford Falls. Bailey’s dream of escape and adventure in his life has been repeatedly quashed by the notions of family obligations and civic duty.
It’s Christmas Eve and Bailey’s guardian angel, Clarence Odbody (Drew Fleagle), descends to save Bailey from self destruction and to remind him that he has a wonderful life. To do that, Odbody shows him what his life would be like if he has never been born.
“It’s A Wonderful Life” takes the Triton High School Performing Arts Center stage Dec. 3 at 2 and 7 p.m., and Dec. 4 at 3 p.m.
Tickets are $5 for adults, and $3 for students and senior citizens.
Appearing in the drama with Mathiesen and Fleagle will be Adrienne Utter as Mary Hatch Bailey; Nate Spangle as Uncle Billy; Jessica Creech as Mother Bailey; Morgan Bachner as Aunt Tilly; Cassadi Edington as Potter’s secretary; Caitlyn Schwichtenberg as Mrs. Martini; Tyler Brown as Mr. Gower; Simon Salgado as Mr. Potter; Michael Scherer-Berry as Violet Petersen; Nick Damron as Sam Wainwright/Ernie; Brenden Damron as Harry Bailey/Bert; Trish Tillotson as Mother Hatch; Lexi Miller as Miss Andrews; Chance Pflueger as Mrs. Thompson; Jeff Martin as Mr. Martini; Meagan Kemp as Miss Carter; Ciera Whybrew as Potter’s nurse/Sam’s gal; Brooklyn Beatty as Potter’s nurse/Sam’s gal; Tyler Crowder as Mr. Welch; Josh Taylor as young George/Pete Bailey; Jenna Swihart as Janie Bailey; Bryant Hansen as paper boy/Tommy Bailey; and Lilee Stetzel as Zuzu Bailey.
Stage manager is Izzy Yazel. Light and sound director is Ethan Yazel, and Justin Gladieux is light and sound crew. Stage crew members are Courtney Zentz and Matt Miles.
The play is directed by Lisa Eiser.
