I've been reading about the proposal to bring a casino to Fort Wayne. If this is a way to boost the finances of Fort Wayne, I don't see it. How people in this economy can have money to gamble is beyond me.
But I feel that gambling is a sin, and the destruction it causes in the family is terrible. It can be compared to the fools that go into these strip clubs and blow their paycheck on a worn-out woman in makeup and dim lights. Their family goes without so these men can drink beer, and receive fake attention from a loose woman. Makes me wonder how much money is wasted on immoral behavior.
I've never written a letter to the editor, but I read them often, but I do sometimes get tired of reading letters from the same old people over and over. Especially the ones that support Bush and his policies. Those days are over. Let's give the new president Barack Obama a chance. And maybe now we will get some bipartisan resolve to some major issues.
I would like to end this with a request that the owner of the now closed Warsaw Roofing contact us. We can not find a listing for them and we want to add our support in any way possible for the problem they're going through. They did a great job for us and our daughter-in-law's house.
Let's also pray that the Republicans come to their senses and pass the stimulus bill and get this economy going. This is the worst recession since the Depression.
