The Indiana State School Music Association sponsors the District Solo and Ensemble Contest each year. Tippecanoe Valley students competed at Penn High School Jan. 28. On contest day, performers are evaluated by a music judge and then receive a rating based on their performance score. Depending on their rating, students receive a gold, silver or bronze medal.
