Irwin Crowned Fair Queen, Fuller Named Miss Teen Kosciusko

Irwin Crowned Fair Queen, Fuller Named Miss Teen KosciuskoAshley Irwin, daughter of Joey and Amy Irwin, was crowned 2023 Miss Kosciusko County Fair Queen Saturday at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds.

Amelia Ohneck, daughter of Liz and Jake Ohneck, was first runner-up; Jasmine Fuller, daughter of Chad and Tara Fuller, was second runner-up; and Shaylin Wilcox, daughter of Michael and Amanda Wilcox, was third runner-up.

Also, Olivia Fuller, daughter of Chad and Tara Fuller, was named Miss Teen Kosciusko County.

Karlee Clevenger, daughter of Heather Disomer, was named first runner-up; and Kayleena Igney, daughter of Jennifer Noffsinger and Todd Igney, was named second runner-up.

Scoring for the pageants was based on an interview with the three-judge panel of Connie Hunsberger, Donald Wiesehan Jr. and Michelle Hershberger, which made up 40% of the score. The remaining score came from interview wear, 10%; a prepared speech, 15%; theme wear, 15%; and formal wear and an onstage question the contestants answered, 20%.

The duties of Miss Kosciusko are to participate in the 2023 fair parade, be a positive role model and representative for Kosciusko County, participate in fair activities, compete in the Indiana State Fair Pageant, compete in the Indiana State Festival Pageant and pass down the crown at the following year’s pageant.

The 2022 Miss Kosciusko County Fair Queen was Kali Wolf.

The duties for Miss Teen Kosciusko are to participate in the 2023 fair parade, be a positive role model and representative for Kosciusko County and participate in fair activities.

The 2022 Miss Teen Kosciusko was Jasmine Fuller.

All contestants were given a sash and flowers. The flowers were donated by Anderson’s Greenhouse.
