MILFORD - Irvin Hawkins, 69, of Syracuse, died Sept. 24, 2008, in I.U. Hospital, Indianapolis.
He was born Nov. 21, 1938, in York, Pa., to Earl and Barbara Mae Blyer Hawkins. On Sept. 7, 1986, he married Charlotte Moreen, who survives.
He was a retired truck driver, pulling motor homes for Quality Driveaway, Goshen. He attended Grace Bible Baptist Church, New Paris, and was a member of North Manchester Moose Lodge and Syracuse Bowling Leagues.
Surviving are two sons, Mel (and spouse Donna) Hawkins, Nappanee, and Kristopher Hawkins, Syracuse; two granddaughters; a great-granddaughter; and a brother, Earl Hawkins Jr., Florida.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Milford, with Pastor Daniel Haifley officiating. Burial will be in Milford Cemetery.
Calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
