The Interra Cares Foundation announced the appointment of Sherry Early as its new executive director. Early brings more than 25 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, community development, philanthropy, financial inclusion and public service.
As executive director, Early will work with the foundation’s board of directors and Interra Credit Union leadership to carry out the foundation’s mission. Throughout her career, Early has focused on communities through housing, economic opportunity, philanthropy and nonprofit leadership.
Among her many accomplishments, Early helped establish the Brightpoint Development Fund, a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) and SBA small business lender, where she designed and implemented lending and housing programs. She also developed the Small Bites Series through the Incremental Development Alliance, an educational initiative that equips residents, entrepreneurs and community leaders to make investments in their neighborhoods.
