WINONA LAKE – The Northern Lakes Music Studio is offering the second Instrument “Discovery” Workshop for those who are curious about musical instruments. The workshop, for ages 6 and up, will take place March 15 and 16 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and March 17 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Valley Springs Fellowship, 345 N. CR 175E, Warsaw. All instruments and materials will be provided. The workshop offers participants the opportunity to have a beginning lesson on six different instruments over three days. Two instruments per session will be explored with an instructor, each for 30 minutes.Instruments available for discovery include flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium (baritone), percussion, guitar, piano, violin and cello. “The spirit of this workshop is to provide a chance to experience playing instruments that people may want to play or have always wanted to try,” said Dr. Ardis Faber, lead instructor. “At our first workshop, the children were surprised to discover that there was another instrument they enjoyed more than the instruments they had expected to enjoy. An event like this helps to clarify a child’s interest in an instrument family – woodwinds, brass, percussion, and strings.” Register online for the workshop by March 12 at www.northernlakesmusicstudio.com Questions about the workshop may be sent to info@northernlakesmusicstudio.com
