This is in response to the letter from Diane Saldivar, fat hater.
Never in my 73 years have I ever read a more insensitive letter than the one Diane Saldivar wrote.I pray you don't have children or a husband for that matter, and God forbid they be overweight. What happened in your life that you hate obese people like you do? Were you ran over by a 800-pound senior citizen driving a Hoveround®?
Are you good looking? Do you drink? Do drugs? Oh my gosh, please don't say you smoke. Do you have a bad complexion?
How dare you talk about heavy people like they were the scum of the earth. What on earth is wrong with you? You are a heartless, cold fish.
I am not heavy, but my mom was and grandma and grandpa too, the most loving, kind-hearted people you've ever met. Yes, we do have an obesity problem that really needs some work. But not everyone sits on their rears with a cheeseburger hanging out of their mouth. I am going to pray for you tonight, and I'm asking all you readers to do the same. Diane really needs our help.
I am sure if we looked up fat-a-phobic in the dictionary, Diane's picture would be right beside it. I'll get off here - my wife has my Lean Cuisine ready.
