An autopsy will be performed today on an inmate who died at the Kosciusko County Jail early Monday morning.
Ronald E. Vardaman, 44, of Milford, was arrested Sunday morning in Milford for public intoxication. Because of his high level of intoxication, he was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for treatment before being booked into the jail. Vardaman was not taken to the jail until the hopsital gave medical clearance to do so.
An autopsy was scheduled for 9 a.m. today in Fort Wayne. Warsaw Police Department is conducting the investigation as an outside agency according to departmental policy.
