A two-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Anchorage Road and Detroit Street Friday night, leaving the drivers with injuries.
According to a police report, Ronald N. Miller, 71, of 1979 Ruby Court Lane, Goshen, was driving his SUV in the left lane of northbound North Detroit Street approaching the intersection of Anchorage Road when Sheila A. Juarez, 18, of 428 W. Center St., Warsaw, allegedly pulled out in front of him.
Miller said he had the right of way because he had the green light northbound and was struck in the right front side of his vehicle.
Juarez said she was pulling out of the intersection of Anchorage Road and North Detroit Street to go southbound when she saw that Miller was not going to stop and then collided with him in the intersection.
The impact sent her vehicle back to northeast of the intersection where her vehicle struck a control box and traffic signal.
Miller complained of chest pain, and Juarez complained of elbow and lower arm pain.
Damage was estimated at $5,000 to $10,000. Warsaw Police Department and Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated.
