INDOT Section 5311(f) Intercity Bus

    The Indiana Department of Transportation, Office of Transit is soliciting applications for the Section 5311(f) Intercity Bus Transportation Assistance Program.

    ELIGIBILITY: The Section 5311(f) program defines intercity bus service as regularly scheduled bus service for the general public, which operates with limited stops in rural communities. The service operates over fixed routes connecting two or more urban areas, not in close proximity, that has the capacity for transporting baggage carried by passengers, and that makes meaningful connections with scheduled intercity bus service to more distant points.

    FUNDING: The Federal Transit Administration allocates fifteen percent of the Section 5311 apportionment specifically for intercity projects.

    TIME FRAME: Interested applicants must contact Todd Jennings, Section 5311 Program Manager by email for application instructions by April 30, 2019.
