INDOT Scheduled To Begin Repaving U.S. 30 On MondayIndiana Department of Transportation announced U.S. 30 in Kosciusko and Whitley counties is scheduled to be resurfaced beginning on or after Monday, weather permitting.
The resurface work will take place between East CR 250S in Kosciusko County, about a mile west of Ind. 13, and North CR 650W in Whitley County, about a half mile east of Ind. 5. The project will repave a little more than five miles of U.S. 30 and includes Larwill and Pierceton.
During the day, drivers are cautioned to watch for lane restrictions and possible stopped vehicles in the construction zone. INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through any active work zone. A speed limit of 45 mph will be in effect when workers are present and will be enforced.
The project was awarded to INDOT contractor Brooks Construction for $6.1 million and includes the asphalt resurface of Ind. 114 in Wabash County later this year. Work on U.S. 30 is expected to be completed in early September, weather permitting.
