The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), Office of Transit is providing applications for the Section 5311(f) Intercity Transportation Assistance Program through the INDOT website at http://www.in.gov/indot/2816.htm. ELIGIBILITY: The Section 5311(f) program defines intercity bus service as regularity scheduled bus service for the general public which operates with limited stops over fixed routes connecting two or more urban areas, not in close proximity and has the capacity for transportation baggage carried by passengers. FUNDING: Each year the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) allocates a portion (15%) of the total Section 5311 rural transit funds specifically for intercity projects. TIME FRAME: Applications must be received by August 12, 2011.
