Editor, Times-Union: I just read an article in “Hoosier Legionnaire” written by Will Henry that said our Indiana General Assembly isn’t doing enough for Indiana’s veterans. Actually, I’m being kind, the state’s overall rating for military retiree is dead last, 51st in the nation. If you visit Indianapolis, Indianapolis is second only to Washington, D.C., for memorials and monuments dedicated to our men and women veterans. Maybe taking care of concrete is easier than flesh and blood. Maybe our general assembly doesn’t understand the hardships of being in the military. They probably never served, but are the first to say, “Thanks for your service.” Paul Fribley Warsaw
