NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Indiana Finance Authority (the "Issuer") will hold a public hearing on August 18, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. in the offices of the Indiana Finance Authority located at One North Capitol, Suite 900, Indianapolis, Indiana, regarding the issuance of one or more series of Indiana Finance Authority Hospital Revenue Bonds, Series 2009 (Parkview Health System Obligated Group) in the aggregate principal amount not to exceed One Hundred Fifty Million Dollars ($150,000,000) (the "Bonds"), to be used for the purpose of providing funds to Parkview Health System, Inc. and Parkview Hospital, Inc. (collectively, the "Borrowers"), to (i) finance or reimburse the cost of acquiring, constructing, renovating and equipping certain capital assets of the Borrowers including, but not limited to, new hospital facilities located at the Fort Wayne and Columbia City campuses; (ii) fund interest during construction, if any; (iii) obtain credit enhancement for the Bonds, if any; (iv) fund a debt service reserve fund, if any; and (v) pay certain costs associated with the issuance of the Bonds, including underwriter's discount (collectively, the "Project"). The Bonds will be issued by the Issuer pursuant to Indiana Code Section 4-4-10.9 and 5-1-16 et. seq., as supplemented and amended, and a resolution proposed for adoption by the members of the Issuer. The Bonds will not be in any respect general obligations of the Issuer, the State of Indiana, or any political subdivision thereof, but will be special, limited obligations of the Issuer as the principal of, premium, if any, and interest on the Bonds will be payable solely from the revenues and receipts derived from the repayment of the loan by the Borrower. The Bonds will not be payable in any manner from revenues raised by taxation. The Bonds shall not constitute a debt, liability or obligation of the Issuer, the State of Indiana or any political subdivision thereof, or a pledge of the faith and credit or taxing power of any of them, and shall be payable only as aforesaid. The public hearing is being held pursuant to Section 147(f) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended. The public is invited to comment on any of the matters herein noted, and all taxpayers, residents or interested parties who appear will be given a reasonable opportunity to express their views, both orally and in writing, on the proposed plan of financing for the Project and other matters relating to the Bonds. Written comments may also be submitted to the Issuer through the Public Hearing Officer at One North Capitol, Suite 900, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204 until 5:00 p.m. EST, August 17, 2009.
