Public Notice The Indiana Department of Transportation is planning to undertake a road improvement project, funded in part by the Federal Highway Administration. The project area is located along State Route (SR) 15 in Plain Township, Kosciusko County, Indiana. The undertaking proposes to add two through lanes, turn lanes, and a median lane, and intersection improvements to the intersections with West Levi Lee Road, West County Road (CR) 400 North, East CR 350 North, West CR 300 North, and West CR 250 North. The Area of Potential Effects (APE) extends from 2,200 feet north of West Levi Lee Road to the interchange of SR 15 and US 30, with a minimum width of 240 feet and a maximum width of 1,435 feet along both sides of the centerline of SR 15. The proposed action doesn't impact items listed on or eligible for the National Register of Historic Places. The Federal Highway Administration has issued a No Historic Properties Affected finding for the project, due to the lack of resources listed on or eligible for the National Register of Historic Places in the APE. In accordance with the National Historic Preservation Act, the views of the public are being sought regarding the effect of the proposed project on the historic elements as per 36 CFR 800.2(d), 800.3(e) and 800.6(a)(4). Pursuant to 36 CFR 800.6(a)(4), the documentation specified in 36 CFR 800.11(d) is available for inspection from ASC Group, at the contact listed below. This documentation serves as the basis for the Federal Highway Administration's No Historic Properties Affected finding. The views of the public on this finding are being sought.
