Indiana Built

Editor, Times-Union:
There once was a time when some of the finest cars in the world were made in Auburn, Ind. Jay Leno wrote that a century from now, car guys would be working on Duesenbergs while other luxury sports cars would remain in junkyards. It is long past time when Indiana regained a reputation for making quality cars and other products people around the world desired.
I propose the incorporation of a company called Indiana Built. It would build more than some of the best cars in the world. It would be a diverse company that would make products ranging from electronic devices to skyscrapers and stratotowers, if they can be built. Those with imagination, technical skills and other abilities would work for Indiana Built. Universities, technical institutes and private shops and garages would turn out employees for the company.
Take cars for instance. Duesenberg used to build cars that raced in the Indianapolis 500. If my advanced rotary engines and plasma igniter worked coupled with flywheel storage units and powerful generators and drive motors, we may someday see hybrid cars win the 500. The public would demand hybrid cards made by Indiana Built.
Silicon Valley in California is synonymous for computers. Once experiencible program units become reality and experiencing computer programs and networks affect people around the world, Indiana Built could be the company that brings us the future for computer technology.
You might have seen movies that feature levitated and flying vehicles. If my double-field motive system works, which would ionize surfaces and use electomagnetic fields to levitate vehicles, we might someday have cars, trucks and even hoverboards that can travel over any surface a few inches above it. Indiana Built could be at the forefront of vehicle technology. Flying from Indianapolis or Fort Wayne to London might take less than two hours in a hypersonic space plane built by Indiana Built. Your great-grandchildren might live and work a few miles above the ground in a stratotower that can be seen in Canada constructed by Indiana Built. A spaceport would send people and material to space stations, the moon, Mars and elsewhere thanks to Indiana Build.
I am very optimistic about the future and want the creation of Indiana Built to make the bright future a reality. The future as I imagined it half a century ago might exceed expectations half a century from now thanks to Indiana Built.
