MILFORD – As part of its celebration of Indiana’s 200th birthday, the Milford Public Library is bringing Indiana author illustrator David Slonim to local schools and to Milford for a series of programs. Due to a change of ISTEP testing dates at the elementary schools, the author visit will be May 11, not April 21, as originally planned. Slonim, author and illustrator of children’s books, will be coming to the Milford Community Building at 7 p.m. May 11. He has a great presentation planned and may even draw some illustrations right on the spot, according to a press release from Milford Public Library. The event is free and everyone is welcome. The event is sponsored by the Milford Public Library, Milford School, North Webster Elementary, Syracuse Elementary, The Papers Inc., anonymous, Friends of the Milford Public Library and Kosciusko Literacy Services.
