Ina “Jeanette” Mast, 73, Apache Junction, Ariz., and of Pierceton, passed away at 2:02 a.m. Feb. 5, 2016, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. She was born March 5, 1942, in Warsaw, to John B. and Vera M. Rule Homan. On June 3, 1960, in South Whitley, she was united in marriage to Rex D. Mast, who survives in Apache Junction. She worked as a lighting consultant for Wabash Electric for seven years and then for Kendall Electric for 13 years, where she retired. She also was a consultant for Home Interiors for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Pierceton, where she was president of Women’s Fellowship, member of the Fellowship Committee and the church choir. She also was a member of Red Hat Society “Diamond,” Arizona, for two years and past president of Pierceton Fireman’s Auxiliary, which she had been a member for 35 years. In the last few years, she became a member of a theatre troupe in Arizona. She is survived her daughter, Lisa A. Mast, Warsaw; two sons, Kevin (and spouse Myra) E. Mast, Pierceton, and Darrel D. Mast, South Whitley; her mother, Vera Homan, Winona Lake; four grandchildren: Heather (and spouse Ken) Gero, Havelock, N.C.; David Sainer, and Stephanie (and Randy Rose) Campbell, all of Pierceton; Jared (and spouse Emma) Sainer, Warsaw; seven great-grandchildren: Brock and Ashlynn Sainer, both of Warsaw; Calvin and Miley Ballard and Irelynn Pearl Gero, all of Havelock, N.C.; Jaycie Mast, Arizona; Griffin Rose, Pierceton; and her sister-in-law, Alberta Mast, Florida. She was preceded in death by her dad and her grandson, Derrik Mast. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Mark Fishburn officiating.
