J. Davis Illingworth Jr. is the scheduled speaker at Kosciusko Leadership Academy's 2010 graduation banquet April 29 at 5:30 p.m. at the Tippecanoe Country Club.
Illingworth is the current president and co-owner of Warsaw Toyota and former senior vice president Toyota Motor sales, U.S.A. He was named Automotive News All-Star for 1997, Automobile Magazine's 1992 "Man of the Year" and one of the auto industry's "Top 10 Newsmakers" by Automotive News.
In addition, Illingworth is an accomplished author, writing "Lexus: The Relentless Pursuit". A book with insight into how Toyota conceived, developed and launched its own luxury car brand - Lexus. This success story explains how the Japanese giant went from zero to 25 percent share of the luxury car market in the space of 10 years.
His latest book, "God of Hope", will be released this fall. "God of Hope" is presented in the time-honored medium of storytelling, with accounts that will inspire Christians today to greater courage and trust in God. It also will include a compelling presentation of the author's own story.
KLA alumni and trustees are invited to share in this evening with Illingworth, as well as hear the announcement of the 2009-2010 White Paper project winner. Seating is limited with RSVPs needed by Thursday. A reservation form for this event is included in the Spring KLA newsletter.
