The draw for the 42nd annual IHSAA football state tournament was held Sunday night, with teams around the state now knowing their road to Indianapolis. Sectionals begin Oct. 24, and locally, Warsaw and Wawasee each got home games and get rematches against teams that ended their 2013 seasons. For Warsaw, it will host No. 4 Carroll in the Class 6A, Sectional 3, and will look to avenge last season’s 42-7 sectional championship road loss. In Class 4A, Leo and Wawasee open up Sectional 19 against each other for the second-year in a row, with last year’s outcome being a 35-7 win in Syracuse. The Tippecanoe Valley Vikings go to Culver Academies for their Class 3A Sectional 26 contest. Valley and CMA opened this season up against one another, with the Eagles winning 36-13 at Death Valley. Another sectional rematch happens in Class 3A’s Sectional 27, when Whitko and Bellmont meet. Bellmont downed the Wildcats 35-13 last year in Decatur, and will once again host the game. The Manchester Squires got a favorable Class 2A Sectional 34 draw, getting Wabash at home. The two Three Rivers Conference teams just met Friday night, with Manchester winning 29-23 in Wabash. At Class 1A Sectional 41, the Triton Trojans are on the road, making the trip west on U.S. 30 to visit South Central. A complete glance of local sectional pairings is below.
