Ignota Irene Lemler, 93, died April 27, 2011, in her home in Blue Springs, Mo.
She was born Feb. 23, 1918, in Warsaw, to Fred and Trecie Ross Fancil. She married Franklin E. Lemler, who preceded her in death.
She had lived in Pierceton and Sebring, Fla., before moving to Blue Springs in 2008. She and her husband owned and operated Lemler Farm Center, Pierceton, for many years.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who cherished every moment she spent with her grandchildren. She loved to play cards, embroidery, do rug work and playing with her cat, Casper. She was of the Presbyterian faith and a member of the Eastern Star. She has also been a cook for the Lions Club in Pierceton for many years.
Surviving are a daughter, Jeannie (and spouse B.J.) Kempf, Blue Springs; a stepson, David (and spouse Jodie) Lemler, Argos; four grandchildren: Rick (and spouse Serita) McCleary, Carmel; James (and spouse Angie) McCleary, Manhattan Beach, Calif.; Jamie (and spouse Beth) Kempf, Harris, Minn.; Matthew (and spouse Regina) Kempf, Oak Grove, Mo.; and five great-grandchildren: Gabriel, Devin, Matthew, Tatum and Tyler. She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Patricia Shoemaker.
Services will be at 2 p.m. May 14 in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
