If you are a fan of the talent on "American Idol," then check out local talent at Friday's Idol Night fundraiser for the Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund.

Twelve local "idols" will compete for a $1,000 top prize Friday at the Wagon Wheel Theatre. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 12 and under, and may be purchased at the Wagon Wheel Box Office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday. Proceeds from the event go to the Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund.Attendees also will have an opportunity to purchase cancer bracelets.

This year's contestants and their songs are: Deborah Conley, "God Bless the USA"; Tony Young, "I'll Make Love to You"; Anna Scutchfield, "The Climb"; Jerry Stouder, "At This Moment"; Lisa Kuczka, "Harper Valley PTA"; Curtis Valentine, "Sante Ria"; Courtney Knisley and Amanda Puckett, "Tin Roof"; Ashley Carmela Rosas, "Before He Cheats"; Bethany Pike, "Outta Control"; Jamison Westerbeck, "Do You Feel How I Feel?"; Kristi Ferrell, "A Broken Wing"; and Julie Harvey, "Fancy."

This year's host is Matt Niemier, and the judges are Deb Nicols, Rosalie Kauffman, Tony Cutshall and Trevor Cracknell.

New to this year's competition are walking ads. Sponsors purchase a tray that individuals will walk around and display during the event. Each tray is designed especially for the business. While the votes are being counted, there will be presentations from Deb Collier's School of Dance and Giverny Fitness Studios.
