Sheets of skim ice pile up along the shore of Pike Lake this morning. Calm cold weather formed a layer of thin ice on top of the lake on Saturday. But warmer, windy conditions blew the ice off the lake Sunday and Monday. With temperatures near zero tonight, prospects are good for a new layer of ice by Wednesday if today's calmer winds prevail.
