Editor, Times-Union: As one of the directors of Northern Lakes Skating Association, it was very nice to see that progress toward some type of seasonal ice skating facility is being looked into. As a nonprofit group that has worked toward such a goal, the NLSA would like to pledge whatever resources that we have toward such a project. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that many years ago received some equipment from the former Glenbrook Mall ice skating rink. We still have the resurfacing Zamboni and many pairs of skates as well as quite a bit of miscellaneous related equipment and supplies. We have a little over $1,200 in our bank account. Any need for use of our resources, or any assistance we can offer to help further this project, could help all parties involved.
