Dan Nelson wets a line near the boat launch on the southeast side of Chapman Lake Friday afternoon. Ice fishermen have been patiently waiting for weeks for there to be enough ice to actually get out and give it a try. Even now, fishing is restricted to channels, inlets and smaller surface areas of lakes, and Department of Natural Resources officials are urging extreme caution.
