Students at Washington STEM Academy are shown making a car run by using a reversible fuel cell to electrolyze water into hydrogen and oxygen gas. The sixth-grade teachers used this activity to assist students to gain an understanding of the unique chemical properties of water and the possibilities of hydrogen gas as a fuel for a car. Students are shown using a 6 DC hand crankcase generator.
